Chiefs are building something special, says Solomons
“We are creating something special," says the former Swallows defender.

Dillan Solomons admits it was not a good first season for him at Kaizer Chiefs because they could not bring any silverware to Naturena.

But other than that, the speedy defender is fairly happy with how things went for him as a new player at Chiefs.
The Naturena side could finish fourth in the DStv Premiership if they manage a draw or beat Cape Town City in their last game on Saturday.
It has been a topsy-turvy season for Chiefs but Solomons says not all is lost as they are brewing something that the supporters will be proud of in the future.
“Playing for Chiefs is a big achievement for me. But being part of this team was a great experience,” says Solomons.
He signed for Chiefs from Swallows alongside George Matlou and Kamohelo Mahlatsi who have struggled for game time.
“It was a very inconsistent season but we are building the team and we are creating something special. Come next season and we can win some silverware.
“It was heartbreaking not to win any silverware this season. But these things happen in football and hopefully next season we can get some.”
Chiefs in high spirits
On his personal performances for his new team, Solomons believes he could have done better had he not suffered injuries along the way.

“It was good… But inconsistent here and there and injuries also didn’t help me. But with being my first season I tend to think in your first season you try to adapt to the new environment.
“And I think I did that. So, hopefully next season I can kick on and give the fans something to smile about.”
Solomons also reveals that the team are in good spirits ahead of their last game. He says they are focused and not thinking about the holidays yet.
“We are in good spirits this week and looking forward to the game. Even though it is our last and people tend to think we are already thinking about the holidays, we owe them one.
“When we went to Cape town we didn’t get a result,” added the 26-year-old full back.
