Former Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United midfielder Lucky Mohomi is said to be having a spat with his representatives, who have failed to secure him a move to a team in the top-flight.

They instead found him a club in the GladAfrica Championship, where he turns out for Venda Football Academy.

the former Sundowns and SuperSport midfielder joined the side almost a month ago but he is not looking to stay long.

“It becomes a problem when the agents put their interests first ahead of the player. Lucky still has a lot to offer and he feels he is being wasted in the second stream. The player just agreed because he was tired of training alone but is really unimpressed with the work done by his agent,” said a source close to Mohomi.

Meanwhile, former Orlando Pirates midfielder Roger Majafa has found a new team after spending over two years without playing professional football having last played for TS Sporting in the GladAfrica Championship in 2019.

Majafa has been captured by first division side Venda Football Academy following a brief trial with the club and impressing the technical team, a source at the Limpopo based team has revealed.

Majafa, who has also played for Polokwane City, Platinum Stars, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Roses United, is said to be on top of his game and it doesn’t even look like he has not played professional football for a while.

“Yes, Majafa just signed with us. We are very happy to have him at the club because he is one of the gifted players in the country. He has a lot of quality and has shown a lot of commitment since the day he started training with us.

“I am not sure what was the problem with him not getting a team or if maybe he was just unlucky not to get a club. But we know that last year he went on trial in Turkey and they loved him, but he never got to go back because of Covid-19 and travelling restrictions,” said a source.
