Ntseki responds to ugly episode with disgruntled Chiefs fans
“And when you don’t win games like this, like the one last week(end), obviously the supporters are disappointed," says Ntseki.

Kaizer Chiefs‘ fans found themselves once again deeply disappointed following the team’s Wednesday evening defeat to SuperSport United, and regrettably, this disappointment manifested in violent misconduct.

Their ire was primarily directed at coach Molefi Ntseki, with chants for his removal, despite his relatively short three-month tenure with the team.
This incident bore a striking resemblance to a prior occurrence at Mbombela Stadium when Chiefs were defeated by TS Galaxy.
In a 1-0 loss to SuperSport – coming courtesy of Terrence Dzvukamanja’s second minute strike – fan protests and demands for Ntseki’s departure were all too familiar.
Recalling the previous season, a disturbing incident unfolded at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium when then-coach Arthur Zwane was injured as fans hurled objects in his direction.
He was inadvertently struck by a police personnel’s shield while being escorted from the field.
As a result of the Mbombela incident, Chiefs faced disciplinary action from the PSL, owning up to charges of supporter misconduct.
The PSL imposed a fine, part of which was suspended, with the condition that they avoid similar incidents for a two-year period.
The club also committed to educating their fans on acceptable behaviour.
Efforts to calm the disgruntled fans were led by team manager Bobby Motaung, but his attempts proved futile as he also became a target of their frustrations.
Ntseki calm amid Chiefs fans’ storm
In contrast, Ntseki, addressing the media following his escorted exit from the field by security forces, maintained a composed and understanding demeanour amid the tumultuous situation.
“I think they are disappointed because they are looking at the performance of the team and the expectation is for us to win games,” Ntseki said after the game.
“And when you don’t win games like this, like the one last week(end), obviously the supporters are disappointed.
“As much as they are disappointed, I think we are having a good team… We were having a good game and the players are performing to the best of their abilities.
“And I think the plan worked out today, it’s just that we conceded very early.”
