Asanda’s lobola negotiations

Last year, Asanda took to Instagram to give her fans a sneak peek inside her lobola negotiation day. She said when they first started dating, her husband promised to marry her.

“When he and his uncles came back again last week to rightfully claim his wife and their makoti, I thought, “My king, my baby love, my nunus, my soul mate has really kept his word and did right by me after every heartbreak, setback, evil we have had to fight against together!” she wrote.

She also shared that they were starting to be doubtful as the lobola date was changed many times.

She added: “But what God puts in place, no man can ever remove or change. What is meant to be, no one and nothing can stop. My soul mate and I were finally blessed with what we’ve wanted the most for years, and it could not have been possible without our Lord God.”

Relocating to the Netherlands

Seven years ago, Asanda moved to the Netherlands where she furthered her studies. Reflecting on her Generatios: The Legacy role a few weeks ago, she said moving abroad helped her find herself as an actress and fully grow in her performance.

“Now that I’m back home – May God once again help me get up and pick up where I had left things off because I had only begun and my story wasn’t done yet👏🙌 … Prayer Works, Prayer Wins, God answers Prayers that seem extremely impossible, He answers the Prayers…” she wrote, adding that bagging a role on the SABC 1’s hit show was a miracle.
