“Surprise!” reads the 30-year-old Jay Anstey’s Instagram post.
It’s true – the three actresses who play the three Price sisters in M-Net’s telenovela, Legacy, are pregnant at the same time. But wait, there’s more. They are all pregnant with girls!
“It wasn’t planned but it is a miracle,” writes Anstey, who plays Alexandra “Lexi” Price in Legacy.
Reandi Grey (who plays the role of Elizabeth Price) is expecting her second little girl and Mary-anne Barlow (Legacy’s Felicity Price), like Anstey, is having her first.
The three expectant moms have been flooding fans’ feeds with photos from a styled shoot at Hello Timber just outside of Tshwane.
In the photos they are all dressed in pink and coral fairy tale dresses by Lizan Zondagh Couture to commemorate the special and unique life happening.
“Television history?” writes Barlow in her post. “Three sisters, all pregnant with girls, due within weeks of one another.”
Grey also took to Instagram, saying: “If ever you wondered if good things actually do come in threes, let us answer that question for you. One pregnancy is the biggest miracle, the biggest blessing, the biggest lif- changing experience…but why have one if you could have three? Three little new baby girls on the way, from three friends, who play three sisters on a television show. It is quite magnificent.”
Anstey announced her pregnancy on 18 August, saying she and her husband had decided to change their names to Mom and Dad and while Barlow seems to have been a little more secretive about the matter, Grey’s pregnancy was big news in Huisgenoot on 11 October.

One can’t help but wonder how this will affect Legacy’s storyline, especially since the telenovela has been cancelled and will be shooting its last episodes in February 2022. The final episode of Legacy will be aired in September 2022.
