The former Bafana Bafana captain has been linked with a move to the Absa Premiership during this transfer window after his contract with Everton expired.

Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City FC are after the midfielders’ services.

“We love Pienaar I don’t know what’s happening with Schillo. He has got options,” says Mosimane.

“For him it’s not about money. I think he must have fun in South Africa.”

Mosimane and Pienaar have worked together in the national team.

“A good boy, my captain with Bafana,” says Mosimane. ”We share good moments. I knew him when he was 16 years old. I was visiting his parents in a flat in Westbury when he was 16. I watched his games in the squad of Under-17 when he was still in the (Transnet) School of Excellence.

“I bought him all the books to show him he can go to play in Europe and that he will play in Europe. Those are memories we share and he was my captain,” said Mosimane.
