Dikwena have lost their last three matches so far this season. They lost against log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, Ajax Cape Town and Cape Town City.

Coach Roger De Sa will be looking to help his team bounce back to winning ways against his former club.

Pirates on the other hand will be looking to find consistency in the new year after winning, losing and drawing their last three matches.

The Buccaneers are sixth on the log with 27 points from 18 league matches, and a win against Stars will take them to second spot behind leaders Sundowns.
