If you felt the sense of worldwide joy over the long-awaited new music from Adele, you’re not the only one.

We aren’t going to lie, we screamed like many others when the 15-time Grammy award winner released a sneak peek of her new single, titled Easy On Me, late on Tuesday.

In true Adele style, the music video was shot in black and white, similar to 2015 when she released her smash hit Hello, after returning from another hiatus.

Easy on Me is set to be released on 15 October.

Fans have waited for some time, over six years in fact, since the highly acclaimed album 25. It has also been reported that Adele’s album will be titled 30, particularly after she updated her social media covers.

Billboard reported that speculation was rife last week when random billboards around the world popped up featuring the number “30”.

If the reports are true, it will follow previous formats of her earlier releases, namely: 25, 21 and 19.

South African celebrities also shared their excitement, saying their tissues boxes were ready as well.

What is the single about? People are hoping the star touches on her spilt with businessman Simon Konecki. Their divorce was finalised in March 2021. They have one child together.

Lately, Adele has managed to keep the spotlight on her career through appearances on Saturday Night Live, her new man Rich Paul and her weight-loss transformation.

The queen of heartbreak and break-up songs is definitely back.
