Usuthu find themselves among the bottom three teams on the log, alongside TS Galaxy and Marumo Gallants, occupying 15, 14 and 16th places in the league standings respectively.
Both AmaZulu and Galaxy have played three games, whereas Gallants have only played two.
The results are a bit of worry for all the three clubs in the opening stages of the league, particularly AmaZulu, after their remarkable camping last season, which saw them them qualify for the Caf Champions League after finishing the league in position two.
Galaxy, meanwhile, had a slow start last campaign, but they picked up, especially towards the end of the season.
They were unfortunate not finish inside the top eight. But, not being able to register maximum points at this point of the league means there is still a lot of work to be done by the Rockets.
For Gallants, their past three games are really disappointing after finishing the 2020/21 season on a high after winning the Nedbank Cup.
They will have to dig deep to get positive results with daunting clashes coming up.
