University of Pretoria coach Shaun Bartlett was disappointed with a poor display his players gave in their fight to survive relegation after losing 3-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns at the Tuks Stadium on Wednesday night.

Tuks are fighting for a PSL survival, but their recent result has made things a bit tougher for Bartlett and company with two games remaining to the end of the season. Tuks are currently 15th of the log table with 21 points and they trail 14th placed Jomo Cosmos by four points.

“My players were disappointing today (Wednesday night) and they never did what they were supposed to do. We just have to keep on fighting, we have two games left, and that is two Cup finals.”

“We came into this game with the intentions of winning the game at some point, we needed to make it difficult for them. But when you come up against a team like Sundowns you have to compliment what they did here and congratulations to them for winning the league you can see the quality of the team.”

Tuks next face Polokwane City, before closing the season with Bartlett’s former team Golden Arrows.
