Adele is riding high from the success of her latest album 30 and she is not stopping any time soon.
The singer has announced a surprise residency for weekly live performances.
The Easy on Me singer announced on Tuesday that she would have a residency in Las Vegas at the famous Colosseum in Caesars Palace.
Adele won’t have a rigorous schedule as seen from other artists who have decided to take this route, as she will only be performing on weekends.
Weekends with Adele will start in 2022 from 21 January to April. Fans can start booking pre-sale tickets until Thursday. After that, ticket sales will be available to the rest of the public from 7 December.
For some fans, this is not the news they wanted to hear. They wanted Adele to do a world tour and had already started saving up as they predicted that the tickets would be expensive.

Fans reacts to Adele’s Vegas residency:
It was reported that Adele’s decision to do Las Vegas may have been influenced by Celine Dion. Dion had an iconic residency in Vegas from 2003 to 2007 and then returned from 2017 to 2019.
BangShowbiz reported that a source close to Adele said the singer admired Dion and asked for advice on how she managed the workload.
Dion advised Adele to do a Vegas residency as it was close to her Los Angeles home and her son. Dion was also set to return to Sin City, but her trip has been postponed due to health issues.
Adele’s 30 sold more than 500,000 copies in the first week of sales, breaking Taylor Swift’s record of 462,000 sales for Evermore.
Since her album release, Adele has had the biggest year of any individual artist.
