Chiefs confirm Vilakazi interest

Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung admitted on Tuesday morning that the club was after Bidvest Wits man Sibusiso Vila Vilakazi.

“We have shown an interest in Vilakazi, we have engaged Wits about the player, there is interest from the player and we spoke to the agent but at the moment it’s in their (Wits) hands.”

A number of other local teams are believed to be after the midfielder’s signature, however Wits have turned down offers from rival team looking to sign Vila, Motaung is aware of this. “Wits have made it clear they don’t want to release the player.”

The Amakhosi football manager stated that the club will not “fight” to sign the player from the Clever Boys. “We are not going to be pushing and fighting, we are not going to fight like people always say fight for Vilakazi. We have to give Wits respect.”
