Kaizer Chiefs village will host the announcement ceremony of the BBC African Footballer of the Year 2015 shortlist on Saturday, November 14.

The initial 10 man list announced a week ago will be slashed down to five. BBC journalist Peter Okwoche will host a live show on BBC World News, unveiling the five shortlisted nominees for the BBC African Footballer of the Year award.

Journalists from across the continent of Africa are selected to form the voting panel that will help narrow the list down to five players. Each journalist nominates three players of their choice and the players with the highest votes make the final shortlist.

The public will then vote for the 2015 African Footballer of the Year from the five names released by the BBC at the end of the live show.
