Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Patrick Mabedi has said he is not yet thinking about his future following Steve Komphela's resignation.

With a new coach set to come in next season, Mabedi might find himself out of a job if the new man decides to bring his own assistant.

“We will see about the future when we get there,” said Mabedi after Tuesday night’s 3-1 defeat to Golden Arrows in Durban.

Asked whether he felt he could be the next Zinedane Zidane and take Amakhosi to the next level, he gave a coy response.

“It’s difficult to answer that. It will be others who see that. I just have to go out there and do my best. I can’t go into that for now.”
