As Ajax Cape Town try to claw their way back to the Absa Premiership, head coach Andries Ulderink is confident that his players are capable of doing the job and won’t feel under pressure to deliver.
The Urban Warriors are second on the National First Division League table with 48 points after beating Cape Umoya 1-0 last weekend, which sees the club now only one point behind log-leaders Stellenbosch FC with only three games left to the end of the campaign.
“Everybody knows what is at stake, it is not for me to put more pressure on. Every person, every player handles pressure differently, I told the players to enjoy the game,” said the Ajax coach.
“I do not think I need to get the players focused with only three games to go. I know my players quite well after four/five months working with them and they like the challenge of the way we try to play. I am not worried about the focus.”
The Mother City-based next in line is a clash against fellow title chasers Royal Eagles on Saturday. Eagles are third on the log with 47 points.
