Jomo Cosmos boss Jomo Sono has told critics not label his team as a relegation favourite just yet.

Cosmos handed Kaizer Chiefs a shock 1-0 defeat in an Absa Premiership match on Tuesday night.

Sono’s side earned the title of yo-yo team in the past as they have been relegated almost as quickly as they have gained promotion into the Absa Premiership.

Sono believes that his side can rewrite history this season and retain their Absa Premiership status.

“The coffin has not yet been lowered, so they must take away their tombstones, well done to the boys. The three points (against Chiefs) have moved us away from the pack of the wolves (from the relegation zone). What we need to do now is to focus on the next game against the Buccaneers (Orlando Pirates) in the Nedbank.”
